Fees & Volunteer Requirements

Registration Fees

We do not believe in hidden fees. Enrollment includes all administrative, insurance, and supplies fees. Optional elective classes, field trips and social events are not included and may have additional costs. Payment can be made via credit card.  A student’s registration is not complete until payment is received. Registration will be canceled if payment and the volunteer deposit check are not received within 5 business days of registration.

Enrollment for a 12-week semester of Study and Reset (S.A.R.) is $325. In addition, a volunteer deposit check of $200 per family is required (It will be shredded at the end of the school year and after the volunteer requirement has been met) that will only be cashed out if volunteer requirements fail to be met. Additional elective classes are available each semester for an additional fee. A small number of volunteer buyouts of $200/semester are available.

Registration Refund Policy:

  • $50 administration fee is Non-refundable.

  • The full balance (minus $50 administration fee) will be refunded if class is dropped more than 30 days prior to the start of class.

  • 50% of the registration fee (minus $50 administration fee) will be refunded if class is dropped 15-30 days prior to the start of class.

  • Payment is NON-refundable if dropped within 14 days of the start of class.

Volunteer Commitment

S.A.R. relies on the support of parent volunteers to run a smooth and safe program. To complete enrollment, a $200 volunteer deposit check must be on file. The check will be shredded at the end of the school year, upon completion of each semester’s volunteer requirement.

Each semester the volunteer schedule is determined based on enrollment. The time requirement will be determined 4 weeks prior to the start of the semester. Assignments include in-person support for S.A.R., elective classes, field trips/events or remote support for class preparation, admin needs, and event planning. If a family does not sign up for a volunteer position when the assignment link is posted, a position will be assigned for the family. Volunteer needs vary from semester to semester, but each role typically entails approximately 3-4 hours of in-person or remote work PLUS one substitute assignment.

If you are unable to complete your assignment, you are responsible to secure a proxy (grandparent, family member, or other responsible adult over the age of 25) or utilize the parent directory to find your own coverage. Please notify a Compass Director of replacement person in writing (info@compassea.org) as soon as possible.
